2011 Event Brainstorming
I've got ideas for 2011 I'd like to share to get some feedback. Feel free to e-mail at cjovan74@verizon.net to provide feedback or suggestions. I'm trying to address the reccuring couple issues we have each show.
The biggest issue is parking spaces for all the cars wanting to participate. An idea I have is to find a second location and run twin shows that Saturday. Obviously the major concern with this is that I need to find another large parking at which the owner is willing to host the show and share his facility. I also need to identify volunteers to run the 2nd location as I can't be in two locations at once.
Another issue is the fact that we barely cover the clubs cost for the event selling merchandise and taking donations. I have been paying out of my own pocket for awards, the website cost and some other general expenses. We'd really like to not only cover costs, but raise money to donate to local charities at the end of year. The show has been a free entry, but I think we may change that for next year. One idea is to charge an entry fee to park in the ever so sought parking within the Dead Freddies parking lot. There will supposdily be a new parking lot down 64th Street that may be available for our use. We could make that parking lot, as well as the parking along 64th Street free for those that prefer the free entry. Not sure what we would do for the 2nd location if we went that route.

Huge turnout for the event! There were almost 140 registered Mustangs and upwards of 200 total that stopped in. Thanks to all who came out. And thanks for putting up with the parking issue and minor stinky utility problem. We gave out a bunch of trophies and raised about $1,000 which will be used for covering costs for the event and the rest dontated to local charities. The money came from the sales of MCOM merchandise and the generous donations. Thank you!

Includes a cruise from Castaways, down to the inlet, back up past all the crowds on Baltimore Street and then on to Bethany Beach, DE for dinner at the Bethany Blues Grill. Please remember to bring quarters for parking at the meters in Bethany.
